Dr. Muhammad Zafar Uddin, MD

Dr. Muhammad Zafar Uddin completed his Adult psychiatry internship and residency from University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi and his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship from University of Texas, Austin. Dr. Uddin is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). After finishing his residency and fellowship training, Dr. Uddin has been affiliated with Sutter Center for psychiatry as an attending psychiatrist since 2011. Currently he serves as a senior member of medical executive committee, peer review committee and director of utilization review. Dr. Uddin has extensive experience working with adults, children and the geriatric population in outpatient settings, in-patient settings and via telemedicine.

Dr. Jawad Arif, MD

Dr. Jawad Arif is a General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, with a special interest treating post-traumatic stress, anxiety and mood disorders. Dr. Arif earned his medical degree at Sindh Medical College, Pakistan. Dr. Arif completed his general psychiatry residency at West Virginia University, Charleston, and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Connecticut. His previous experience includes providing inpatient, out-patient and emergency psychiatric care at Danbury Hospital and the Institute of Living, Hartford Hospital, Connecticut. He is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and currently serves as the Medical Staff Chief for Sutter Center for Psychiatry in Sacramento, CA. In addition to having his own private practice, Dr. Arif also provides telepsychiatry services through iPsychiatry

Dr. Faisal Ahmed, MD

Dr. Faisal ahmed is a Psychiatrist, sub-specialized in child and adolescent psychiatry. He completed his general psychiatry residency training at the University of Missouri Columbia program and child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the same institution. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Ahmed has worked in various mental health settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient, and consultation liaison services in the past. He has special interest interest and training in psychological trauma, neuro-developmental disorder such as autism, ADHD, and Psychopharmacology. Dr Ahmed has been actively engaged in teaching in his recent past and has been teaching students and residents at Lutheran General Psychiatry Residency Training Program in Chicago, Advocate Medical Center Family medicine Residency training program in Bloomington IL, and was an official preceptor for ATSU-KCOM The Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr Ahmed currently serves as staff psychiatrist at Sutter Center for Psychiatry. In addition to his own private practice he also provide consultation liaison services.

Dr. Sadaf Javaid, M.D

Dr. Sadaf Javaid is a board certified adult and child psychiatrist with extensive hands-on training and experience. She has worked in various health care facilities, from academic institutions to community health centers and has treated patients from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Her treatment approach involves developing customized plans for her patients based on their medical history, their families; input and in some cases the school system. Moreover, she has experience treating a wide range of psychiatric issues such as depression, attention deficit/hyperactivity, bipolar and anxiety disordersDr. Javaid completed her residency from Nassau University Medical Center at Long Island, New York and specialized in child and adolescence psychiatry from University of Texas Southwestern – Austin campus. In addition to her private practice, Dr Javaid is also a valueable member of our telepsychiatry team.

MARIA DIAZ

Maria graduated from Brightwood College, formerly Kaplan college, as a Medical assistant. She has been working in the Psychiatry field since July of 2016 to current. As our office manager Maria exhibits her exceptional organizational skills by ensuring that no patient is left behind. Maria is bi-lingual, fluent in English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her younger siblings. She loves to bring smile to her mom’s face.

Anthony Cox

Anthony is a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He has gained extensive experience in a variety of areas of mental health that include inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room settings. Throughout his time providing patient care, Anthony recognized the growing need for support for those who struggle with a mental health condition. “It was a goal of mine to achieve a higher level of education in order to make a greater difference in the mental health setting.” Anthony offers a multidimensional approach to care that can help identify key elements in practicing a healthy lifestyle.
